For lovers of romance, period detail and spectacle, Bridgerton may have been the greatest gift of Christmas 2020. Little surprise, then, that a second season has been confirmed, with shooting having begun in spring and a screening date sometime in 2022. It's already created a little society gossip of its own, with The Sun reporting on a squabble over two stately homes, Wilton House in Wiltshire and Somerley House in Hampshire, between the production teams of both The Crown and Bridgerton. According to its source, Bridgerton's crew intend to build a long-term set at Sunninghill Park House in Ascot (located near Coworth Park) and craft their own replica streets and houses. While we wait for more news on the much-anticipated second series, we go behind the scenes to show where series one was filmed.
